FUTURE CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT SERVICES

In the effort to support the needs of the market, we would continuously monitor and adhere to the development of market regulatory requirements, the new standards and services.

Accreditation assures businesses and end-users that a conformity assessment body providing certification to a standard holds the required competence and impartiality to do so. The primary objective of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) is to develop a single, global programme for conformity assessment to ensure that accredited certificates may be relied upon, thus reducing risk for business and end-users. The IAF is a global association of accreditation bodies, certification/ registration body associations and other organizations involved in conformity assessment activities in a variety of fields including management systems, products, services and personnel. IAF has 52 accreditation body members, three regional accreditation organizations – the European Cooperation for Accreditation (EA), the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) and the Interamerican Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC) – and 16 other members, including associate, partner and observer members coming from different fields. Department of Standards Malaysia holds the Accreditation Body Membership of IAF.
